The Research Group is, above all, interested in analysis and interpretation of texts belonging and pertaining to Scottish literature and culture. Its primary interest is in the contemporary Scottish novel, Scottish crime fiction (“Tartan Noir”), Scottish gothic, Scottish poetry and essay, Scottish cinema (art film, documentary, narrative cinema), as well as Scottish literature in translation.
